Anngelica Mohabir

Anngelica Mohabir refuses to fail or produce anything less than a design that elevates the people. With her experience ranging from Hospitality, Senior Living, Affordable Housing and more – her approach is to create nothing less than design spaces that provide radical hospitality and design moves that foster the community story, elevation of culture and design excellence. She curates multi-faceted design narratives to center her clients in her work and honor their stories. She is known for her powerful positivity and resilience, which she brings to every project. Anngelica is driven by the trust her partners place in her to interpret signals of home and belonging, and she is determined to ensure that every individual she serves feels welcomed and surrounded by those signals in her design. Carly Werner

Carly believes everyone deserves well-design spaces. Designing from a place of thoughtfulness, empathy, respect, care and commitment – Carly celebrates the people she serves. No matter the project type, she designs with purpose, shining a light on the natural beauty of the community and the people that live there. It’s in her community engagement where she effortlessly embraces anyone she encounters. Her confidence soars and her welcoming body language lets others know, “I see you”. Her understanding of the world around her allows her to be an impeccable designer and a true Ally – ensuring that every space and experience she creates is inclusive, functional, relatable and beautiful. Emily Svenningsen
Interior Designer

Emily Svenningsen

Emily is versatile in her creative abilities – learning, combining and practicing all her creative skills to formulate in a way that will curate her own individual style. She received her MFA in Interior Design because she knew architecture was not enough to intentionally design work that truly makes an impact on the people and their communities.

With her weapon of choice being a ballpoint pen or a thick Sharpie – regardless she executes. Emily will try anything that requires her hands- and can space plan the hell out of any project! The humor in all of this is that she never thinks what she delivers is enough – when it’s creatively abundant. If the design phase asks for three options, Emily will give you ten and add iterations to each one. Simply put, Emily is an enthusiastic, crafty designer with an ambitious drive to learn, always aim high and give herself grace and room to grow.

Jasmine Frazier
Interior Designer

Jasmine Frazier

Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana they moved to the DMV area to expand their career in Interior Design. The amount of courage, grit, confidence and a sense of humility you must have to displace yourself in uncomfortable situations in effort to grow – is an experience only that person can speak on. But to see Jasmine glow through all it has left us all inspired. As a Design Equity Interior Design, they felt empowered to express their true selves through design. Driven by creative inclusion and the creation of equitable designed spaces, Jasmine believes that a great design starts with empathy. With empathy you can design any space to the wants and needs of the people who will inhabit it – and Jasmine’s vision is to experience a world where interior designers can create spaces that foster the celebration of diversity and not just solely on necessity. Jasmine’s spunky personality and drive to want to do more – makes them an asset to the purpose driven work we do and the people we do it for.

Rodney Bundick

In his honest, unapologetic, loving and caring nature – Rodney pours into the love he hasfor the people of the communities he designs for. With a personality that leads with empathy, Rodney shows that he genuinely cares – asking any and every question possible for his understanding, knowing it will lead to the success of a project. Rodney stands up for his design decisions and introduces a new thought process that will enhance the experiences of the people when living in their new homes. Rodney will call out if humanity is missing from any project and make sure partners understand what they are missing and why it is necessary when creating these communities for the people. Similarly, with his team he feels the morale of a team is just as equally important as the dynamics of the team. With his charm and comedic nature Rodney brings a light-hearted relief to his team during crunch times. And when it’s time to shine during the presentation – Rodney has your back and is there rooting for you all the way!

Tyeesha Smith
Interior Designer

Tyeesha Smith

Tyeesha Smith is a ninja. As such, her movements are done fast (yet quietly) and even though you may not be able to capture every step taken; you will be able to see and feel the intentionality of all her strides. Standing from a place of being able to give perspective to all the possibilities, she designs and visualizes through the lens of there always being a solution to a common need or wanting to introduce a “new” one that is overlooked. Functionality drives a lot of her design choices and Smith is inspired by the people she designs for and how she can provide them with a space they will be excited to enter every day. Her guiding star to problem solving involves utilizing the research – allowing her to stay current, informed and extend new ideas within the field. In an industry where extroversion is celebrated, Tyeesha Smith is a designer whose consistency of execution makes her loud. Although she may not seek the spotlight, her contribution is luminous!

Naja Bomani
Branding + Marketing Storyteller

Naja Bomani

Naja is a do-er. The dedication to her creative craft is not about being right – but about being intentional and thoughtful. As a systematic executor, she takes the time to understand how a system works to reorganize it in a way that allows the system to flow seamlessly and provide room for her creatively. Creative execution in options is how she communicates. Where she excels is by creating a foundational echo system for her to brainstorm, draft and design with an open mind. Creative excellence is how she creates her own niche – applying design strategy to a brand story. Making sure that its cadence is consistent across all platforms. Naja’s grit, relentlessness, creativity and consideration for others allows her to shine with our team of #Determinators. When she wants to Win, she makes sure we all Win. Kia Weatherspoon

The most decorated black interior designer of a generation.

Kia is unafraid to take risks. Her superpower is that she jumps – defying every design stereotype as she’s moved through the industry. The most damaging – interior design is a luxury reserved for a few. Her voice, advocacy, and innovative practice approach to providing Design Equity® services shifted the narrative. Making elevated interior design the standard for all.

She believes showing up as her most authentic self was her greatest strength. Understanding showing up as who you are is what makes great leaders – she doesn’t see titles and sees others as who they are. In that, she goes above and beyond not to just see them – but searches for ways to elevate, celebrate, uplift and make sure the voices of others are heard.
