Cambria Hotel

When culture and economic development come together, the value of design goes beyond storytelling. Design becomes a catalyst for rebuilding communities.  Anchored at the entry of the Petersburg, Va. Historic District, this 131-guest room hotel was the first large development in the area. We captured strong African-American and Native American cultural influences in the design to tell a story of the city’s past and worked with local businesses & artisans to represent the concept of rebuilding Petersburg for the future.
